BMS Students Visit Ford Field to Fuel Up

September 30, 2011

On September 27, six students from BMS participated in the Fuel Up to Play 60 - School Year Kick-Off Conference at Ford Field. This day educated students and school staff about the importance of eating healthy and exercising everyday.  Participants also received tips they can take back to their schools in order to get more students involved. Students sampled a variety of healthy food items such as egg wraps, yogurt parfaits, smoothies and much more. In addition to eating healthy, students participated in daily exercise, such as a flash mob dance with rock star nutritionist Jill Jayne and football drills directed by the Detroit Lion’s coaches and a few of the current Lion players: Cliff Avril, Nate Burleson and retired player Luther Ellis.
