Free Tuition Program for Parents

The State of Michigan is offering up to two years worth of free tuition at any Michigan community college, university or other approved training program through the No Worker Left Behind program. This program is designed specifically for adults who are unemployed, have received notice of layoff from employment, or whose family income is $40,000 or less.
If you are interested in this program, please contact the local Michigan Works office at 800.678.9726. They also hold monthly informational meetings at the Ionia location. There are stipulations to this program so contact them for additional details. You can sign up for the program until August 2010.
The No Workers Left Behind Program aims to help workers who are either unemployed or working in low-wage jobs in the emerging industries of advanced manufacturing, healthcare, biotechnology, renewable energy and other growing sectors.
