Varsity Girls Still Going Strong After Regular Season

The Belding girls varsity basketball team finished their regular season on February 26 with a 56-18 win over Grand Rapids Central.  Belding finished in a tie for third place in the OK Blue with a 9-5 record.  The teams overall season record was 13-7.  Belding then won the district championship last week with 68-27 win over Central Montcalm in the semifinals on Wednesday, March 3 and a 59-42 victory over Lakeview in the finals on Friday, March 5.  Belding now travels to Shelby on Tuesday, March 9 and plays Big Rapids in the regional semifinals.  Belding now stands 15-7 for the 2009-10 season.
