Amy Opperman has been teaching ECDD (Early Childhood Developmental Delays) for Belding Area Schools since 1999. She loves the staff she works with and feels they have quite a team. She enjoys teaching ECDD because it’s the first school experience for many 3-6 year olds and the growth that is observed in those years is truly heart-warming. Of course the hugs are wonderful too!
Mrs. Opperman grew up in a small town called Romeo, Michigan and moved here after graduating from Grand Valley State University with her elementary teaching certificate in 1997. Since then, she has returned to Grand Valley to complete her Masters in Early Childhood and her special education endorsement for emotional impairments.
When Mrs. Opperman is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her son and their two labs. They enjoy time together snowmobiling, boating and just relaxing reading a book!
