George Rousseau is director of music education at Belding Middle School. Maestro Rousseau came to Belding Area School in the fall of 1993 having previously taught in Wayland Union Schools and Manchester Community Schools. He is currently teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands, 7th and 8th grade choir, and 8th grade guitar class at Belding Middle School. Maestro Rousseau graduated from Belding High School in 1984, received his bachelors of music education from Olivet College in 1988 and is currently continuing his education at VanderCook College of Music and Old Town School of Folk Music. He is an advisor of the Tri-M National Music Honor Society, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, West Michigan Bluegrass Musicians Association, and tour event part for Drum Corp International.
