Jesus Hernandez earned his bachelor’s degree from Aquinas College and then attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he earned a masters degree in education. Following that, he received an administrative endorsement from Western Michigan University. Mr. Hernandez started his career as a classroom teacher 25 years ago in Grand Rapids Public Schools. Five years later, he became an assistant principal, and soon thereafter, principal, in the same district. Eventually, Mr. Hernandez moved to the Wyoming Public Schools where he served as principal at Gladiola & Parkview Elementary Schools, and then assistant principal at Jackson Park Intermediate School. Mr. Hernandez, along with his wife and two children, live in Byron Center. He enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team and assisting with his daughters sporting events. Mr. Hernandez enjoys Tiger baseball, Nascar, traveling, working in the yard, and spending time with his family.
