Carrie Kunkle has a teaching degree in biology and physical education. She is a 1994 graduate of Central Michigan University. Mrs. Kunkle began her teaching career at Lake Shore High School in St. Clair Shores, Michigan where she taught physical education, swimming and biology. After three years, Mrs. Kunkle took a job in Temperance, Michigan at Bedford High School where she taught physical science. In 2000, Mrs. Kunkle returned to her home town of Evart, Michigan. During the eight years that she was at Evart High School, she taught biology, advanced biology, physical science, physical education and coached basketball and track.

Mrs. Kunkle received her master’s degree in education from Spring Arbor University in 1998. She enjoys coaching and has spent over ten years coaching basketball and track. While at CMU, Mrs. Kunkle played on the women’s basketball team. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, photography, reading, walking and spending time with her family. She is married to Robert Kunkle and between the two of them they have six children: Zach, Emily, Joshua, Katelyn, Elijah and Olivia.
