Chris Mayer is a school psychologist at Woodview Elementary. Over the last 15 years, Chris has had extensive experience working with children and adolescents with academic, behavioral, and emotional problems in a variety of work settings. The past 9 years Chris has worked as a school psychologist in a traditional K-12 setting, an alternative school, and array of special education programs serving students with severe emotional impairments, autism spectrum disorders, and significant medical and cognitive impairments. He completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University and an education specialist degree from the University of Kansas. Chris is employed by Ionia County Intermediate School District and covers both Lakewood and Belding school districts. He is currently at Woodview two days a week. Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. Activities of interest include hiking, boating, golfing, and traveling.
