Mr. VanDoornik is a proud 2002 graduate of Western Michigan University’s School of Education. He has been teaching at Belding since 2003. Besides getting out and enjoying nature as much as possible, Mr. VanDoornik works on getting his masters degree from Grand Valley State University. He currently lives in Comstock Park with his beautiful wife, Nicole (also a BAS employee) and his crazy dog Layla. Mr. VanDoornik can’t imagine not being a teacher and working with kids, but sometimes sees himself as a musician, strumming his guitar and singing to adoring fans. His students would, most likely, tell him not to quit his day job though!
