Julie Milewski graduated in 1995 from Northern Michigan University and earned her masters degree in educational leadership from Western Michigan University in 2004. She was an 8th grade science teacher for nine years at Ionia Middle School. She was also the state and federal programs and assessment coordinator for Ionia Public Schools. Through this position she worked extensively on Title I, MEAP corrdination, and K-12 curriculum development. Julie serves on the City of Ionia Planning Commission and Ionia Community Library Board. Her husband, John, is a technology operations manager. They have two sons, John and James. Julie enjoys kayaking, hiking, reading, and blogging.
