Belding Early Childhood Programs
PPI (Preprimary Impaired now known as ECDD [Early Childhood
Developmental Disability])
- PPI (ECDD) is a preschool program for children with diagnosed disabilities.
Children enrolled can be 2 ½ to 6 or 7 depending on the disability.
- Teachers have special PPI certification and a ZA - early childhood
endorsement.
- Most children attend ½ days with the exception of a few who
attend all day. Morning children attend Monday through Thursday.
Afternoon children attend Monday through Friday.
- Therapists work with the children on their scheduled days.
- Children are bussed on Belding busses.
- Children receive a snack during their session.

JumpStart is a Michigan School Readiness Program and is a state aid
program.
- Children must be 4 by Dec. 1st to qualify.
- Each child must be eligible with two factors (listed on the JS
application intake form.)
- Parents fill out a Jump Start Intake form and a Collaborative
Preschool Registration form.These forms go to Amy Opperman.
- Children attend ½ days Monday through Thursday.
- Teachers also do home visits at least 2 times a year.
- Children are bussed on Belding busses.
- Children receive a snack each day.

Preschool Program - a tuition program for 3 and 4 year olds
- Children attend days.
- 4 year olds attend Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 3 year olds attend
Tuesday and Thursday.
- Parents bring in and pick up their children.
- Children receive a snack each day.
