Dear Parents,
My name is Brent Noskey and I am the new superintendent for Belding Area Schools. I cannot tell you how excited I am to be here in Belding. My wife of 26 years, Lisa, and I moved to the Belding area two weeks ago. We purchased a home on the west side of the district so my wife is closer to her employer, Amway. We have three sons, Zach (24), Grant (22) and Carter (18). We are a split family as Zach graduated from the University of Michigan and Grant and Carter are both at Michigan State.

I have met many of you this spring and summer at sporting events and in town. I look forward to meeting the rest of you soon. Although I have only been in the district a short time, I am impressed with the staff, parents, students and community members in Belding. Working together as a team, we are going to make Belding one of the best school districts in the state of Michigan.
I know I will see and meet many of you at upcoming open houses (schedules for these will be sent out soon). I am also going to make myself available at a community forum on Wednesday, August 10 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school commons. The evening will be a time for parents to come in and meet me and to ask questions, share positives about Belding Area Schools, and share any concerns you may have.

I am also holding a meeting on Thursday, August 11 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school commons for parents of students who are NOT attending Belding Area Schools at this time. This meeting will be for parents who live in our attendance area, but who choose to send their children to a different school or who choose to home school their children. I would like the opportunity to share with them the positive things taking place in Belding and maybe get them to try Belding Area Schools this school year. If you know of any parents who fit this category, please let them know about this meeting.

Again, I am very excited to be here in Belding and cannot wait to get this school year started. It is going to be a great year! Belding is a great place to be!

Sincerely,
Brent R. Noskey
Superintendent
